Shawn Cuddy from Camross,County Laois, is the eldest of eleven children. During his early years in showbusiness Shawn performed with his two sisters and eventually, after working in a hospital, driving a truck and playing solo, he formed his own band and has never looked back.

 Shawn served his time and learned his craft having done support to JOHNNY CASH and touring the UK with FOSTER and ALLEN, with this experience behind him SHAWN has become a very polished entertainer and singer.Shawn has Ten CD Albums and Five DVD’S recorded and has achieved Best Entertainer, Best Country Singer and had Hit Singles in the charts many times over the years. Shawn’s latest album, titled “Silver Gems”, is proving to be a winner with his fans with four originals on it and some standards. His latest single “If I had a Hammer” is taken from this new album which is on the Arran label.

 Shawn and his band are one of hardest working bands on the dance and concert circuit and work between Ireland, England and Scotland where he is now a household name and has earned the respect of his many fans. Over the years Shawn has toured and bought his fans with him to Spain, Portugal and the USA.

 His Fan Club run a special weekend every May at a top hotel in Ireland where he has many other top entertainers on with him. 2014 Has been a landmark year for Shawn as it marks his 25th anniversary in showbusiness. He commenced his celebrations in May with a four day extravaganza of music and mirth, at Letterkenny’s Great Northern Hotel, which featured a host of stars from the world of Irish Country Music. The annual ‘Shawn Cuddy Weekend’ regularly attracts over 500 people from across Ireland and as far away as Australia.
